Change the World

Over twenty-five Cokesbury members and friends participated in the Charlotte District’s “Change the World” event by helping to beautify the grounds of Idlewild Elementary School. We weeded beds, trimmed shrubbery, prepared four vegetable planting beds for second graders, and installed benches in the first phase of a garden in memory of Kevin Boardman, a member of Cokesbury’s Boy Scout troop. Jim Black and Floyd Fike made the benches in the shape of a skateboard because skateboarding was one of Kevin’s sports.
